FAQs

Morocco works year-round, but spring (March to May) and fall (September to November) are the sweet spots with comfortable temperatures, manageable crowds, and conditions that suit everything from city exploration to Atlas Mountain treks and desert excursions. Winter is a strong choice for Saharan adventures, with cooler days and clear skies that make the landscape feel almost cinematic. Summer brings intense heat inland – Marrakech regularly hits (40°C) in July and August – though the Atlantic coast holds its own, cooled by reliable sea breezes. If you’re planning a cultural city break, April and October are hard to beat.

We recommend eight to 12 days for a trip that balances genuine exploration with time to breathe. A week gets you through Marrakech, the Atlas Mountains, and the Sahara. Add Fes, Chefchaouen, or the Atlantic coast and 10 to 14 days lets the country reveal itself properly. That said, even five nights delivers a focused, meaningful experience.

Morocco is a well-established destination for luxury travelers, and yes it’s safe. Tourist hubs like Marrakech, Fes, and the Sahara are secure and well-traveled, with a strong infrastructure built around welcoming international visitors. Traveling with a private guide and pre-vetted properties removes the guesswork entirely, and Black Tomato’s on-the-ground support means you’re never navigating anything alone. A little cultural awareness goes a long way, too – your travel expert will brief you on local customs before you go, so you can explore with confidence.

Bespoke Morocco tours typically start from $5,000–$7,000 per person for a week, including premium accommodations, private guides, and curated experiences. Pricing varies based on hotel selection, how many people you’re travelling with, and experiences like private desert camps

Morocco offers experiences you won’t find anywhere else. Private Sahara camps with dedicated butler service. Exclusive access to properties like Royal Mansour. Atlas Mountain treks that end at hidden Berber lodges. Cooking classes held in centuries-old family homes. Sidecar tours through the streets of Marrakech. Stargazing dinners in the Sahara Desert
