ITINERARY OF 4 DAYS
PACKAGE FROM FES

Your adventure begins the moment you land. Settle into your riad and step straight into Fes el Bali, a UNESCO World Heritage medina and the largest car-free urban zone on Earth.

Wander over 9,000 winding alleyways past the iconic Chouara Tannery, the ornate Al Attarine Madrasa, and the sacred Al-Qarawiyyin, one of the oldest universities in the world. Let the scent of spices, leather, and cedarwood guide you through a city that feels frozen in time.

Overnight: Fes (Riad)

Depart Fes and head south through the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Ifrane — a fairytale alpine town of red-roofed chalets often called “Little Switzerland.” Continue through cedar forests where wild Barbary macaques roam free, before descending toward Azrou and the vast plains leading to the desert gateway of Erfoud and Merzouga.

As the sun dips low, trade your vehicle for a camel and ride into the Erg Chebbi dunes. Arrive at your desert camp to traditional music, a home-cooked Berber dinner, and a sky exploding with stars.

Overnight: Sahara Desert Camp

Rise before dawn for one of travel’s most unforgettable moments: sunrise over the Sahara. After breakfast, begin the return journey north through the breathtaking Ziz Valley — a ribbon of palm oases carved between dramatic rock canyons and Berber kasbahs.

Stop for photos at the Ziz Gorges viewpoint, then continue to Midelt, a quiet mountain town known for its apple orchards and proximity to the Atlas peaks — the perfect place to unwind after the desert.

Overnight: Midelt

After breakfast, cross back through the Middle Atlas — passing forests, hillside villages, and panoramic mountain views — for your final drive into Fes. Transfer to the airport or your onward destination, taking home memories of dunes, kasbahs, and starlit skies.

Trip ends in Fes.
