Casablanca International Airport (Mohamed V) is where you will begin your week vacation in Morocco. When you arrive, your Morocco private tour guide (driver) will pick you up and transport you to your accommodation.
Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy a visit to the coastal Hassan II mosque, the world’s third-largest mosque with the world’s highest minaret (210 m). It was designed by the French architect Michel Pinseau. The mosque can accommodate 25,000 worshippers inside, as well as 80,000 in the courtyard and surrounding squares. It is one of the few mosques that allow non-Muslims to visit.
After breakfast, we will depart Casablanca and travel to Rabat, Morocco‘s political capital, which views the Atlantic Ocean. You will explore the 12th-century Kasbah of Oudaias, which is the oldest part of the city. Its clifftop location gives amazing views of the ocean. You’ll walk through its quiet streets and white buildings, which were built by Spanish exiled people. The front gate of the Kasbah is creatively decorated with carved towers. The Kasbah houses Mosque el-Atiqa, Rabat’s oldest mosque, which was built in the 12th century and rebuilt in the 18th.Additionally, there are also a variety of art galleries, Andalusian gardens, and a national jewellery museum with a stunning collection of Roman and Islamic jewels from every region of Morocco.
Afterwards, you’ll discover Rabat’s most iconic monument, the Hassan Tower. It was constructed by Sultan Yacoub El-Mansour, who died before it was completed. He envisaged a 60-meter-high minaret, but the tower was abandoned at 44 meters. Otherwise, it would have been the second-largest mosque of its time. We will also visit Mohamed V’s marble Mausoleum, which was created in the typical Moroccan manner. Its architecture creates a peaceful feeling. we will visit the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. You will spend the morning exploring the 2000-year-old ruins, which feature amazing mosaics from the third century BC .you will arrived to fez with it narrow streets , having relaxing in your accommodation.
Today we will explore Fes, Morocco’s spiritual capital and oldest city. Our skilled local guide will take us on a tour of this medieval city’s highlights. you will discover the Medina, with its narrow streets and traditional markets (souks); we visit sites of cultural and historical interest, such as the famous Al Karaouine Mosque and University, one of Africa’s largest mosques and possibly the world’s oldest university; this mosque is the religious center of Fes and Morocco itself. It can accommodate up to 20,000 people during prayer. we continue known locally as Fes el Bali. The labyrinth of the medina takes you back to the Middle Ages, with crafts hands, markets, tanneries, and mosques. Pass donkeys piled with goods (this is one of the world’s largest car-free downtown areas) and explore the souks specialty sections. Look for the Medersa Bou Inania, one of the city’s beautiful buildings.
You will pass through the Jewish quarter “the Mellah” and head to the pottery cooperative… In the afternoon, you will have free time to explore medieval Fes and soak in its lovely culture while connecting with the locals. overnight stay in your accommodation
After breakfast, travel south through Imouzzer to Ifrane, “Morocco’s Switzerland,” with its cool climate and alpine-style architecture. Continue through the serene Middle Atlas Mountains, passing valleys, cedar forests, and rocky landscapes where nomadic shepherds tend their flocks and Barbary apes roam.
Head to the Sahara, stopping at kasbahs, palm-filled valleys, and towns like Erfoud, before arriving in Merzouga, a quiet village near the Erg Chebbi dunes. Store your luggage at a desert camp, ride a camel to watch the sunset over the dunes, and spend the night in a tent under the stars, enjoying a home-cooked meal, Berber music, and drumming by the fire.
Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the lovely sunrise in the middle of the Sahara desert .
Free time for breakfast. Then you ride camels back to Merzouga, where the driver awaits. We dedicate the day to exploring the Merzouga region. The area contains numerous magnificent sights, including sand dunes, wild lakes, mines, fossil locations, and a fabulous oasis. Which are perfect locations for lots of outdoor spots?
We begin our tour in Merzouga by driving off-road to see an ancient eyeliner mine. Then we visit the nomads in their handmade tent. Drink Berber tea and learn about their way of life.
Our next stop is Khamlia village, where you may enjoy Gnaoua music and dance performances. Most of its citizens are from sub-Saharan African nations such as Mali, Sudan, and Niger. Free time for lunch at a restaurant. After that, we take a walk through a palm tree grove. Then drive a few kilometers to visit the wild lake of Merzouga, also known as Flamingo Lake. Wake up to a beautiful sunrise before heading west to Rissani, a historic market town known for its cattle auction, “donkey parking lot,” and vibrant local market. Once a key caravan hub, Rissani still hosts bustling markets on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
Continue through palm groves and Berber villages to the dramatic 984-foot Todra Gorge, where you can explore and relax by the river. After lunch, travel to the Dades Valley to admire its “monkey toes” rock formations and sand castles. End the day with dinner and an overnight stay overlooking the lush valley.
After breakfast, depart through the Dades Valley, known as the Way of the Thousand Kasbahs, offering incredible photo opportunities. Stop at Kalaa M’gouna, the “rose city,” to pick up rosewater, then continue to Skoura, the Dirds Valley, and Ouarzazate, famed as “the Hollywood of Africa.”
Travel to Marrakech via the High Atlas Mountains, stopping at Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Morocco’s largest kasbah. Cross the stunning High Atlas, enjoying scenic views and Berber villages, before arriving in colorful Marrakech for an overnight stay with breakfast.
